Joely & John Destination Sorrento wedding photography

John has been one of my best mates for many years, so I was excited to attend his and Joely's Sorrento wedding anyway. When they asked me if I would photograph the day, I absolutely jumped at the chance! I'd actually been to the Reception venue (Villa Antiche Mura) before, so despite being 1,400 miles from home I was actually in familiar surroundings. Joely had hair and makeup done by Luisa Esposito, before heading up to get ready with her Mum, bridesmaids, and John's daughter Mia. They had a lovely (if sweltering) ceremony at Chiostro di San Francesco, and we took to the Italian streets for a few photos. Everyone then headed to the beautiful Villa Antiche Mura to enjoy some drinks, food, and even more heat! Speeches were emotional (Joely's dad) and hilarious (best man Peeps) in equal measure. The cliffs, beaches and sea provided a stunning backdrop for some portraits, and I ensured I kept my camera with me all through the night, so I could capture the late-night limoncello-fuelled party!
